Martheda: Just want you to know that you have been in my prayers since I learned of Doug's death. I am so sorry to be so late in contacting you,but I only learned of his death this week at Larry's when I mentioned I had not seen you two in a while. You know I would have been at the services had I known. Maybe Doug and L. G. are having lunch together in heaven. Love and prayers. Lou

Our hearts weep with you for the lose of your loved one. We also rejoice at the hope we have in Christ. Knowing that he sits in the presence of our God worshipping him with everlasting joy! Martheda, We and our church will continue to pray for you and your family. Thank you and Doug for always being such a blessing to our family! For what little time we knew Mr. Humphries these words characterized his posture, "He must increase, I must decrease" John 3:30 Mr. Humphries truly lived these words out. May you run to the Lord who comforts and cares for you and may He give you peace.

Martheda, I have nothing but fond memories of the time I spent with you and Doug on mission trips to Honduras and Guatemala. He was a fine man, a good friend, and I regret there were not opportunities for working on additional projects together. The most eloquent of words are of little comfort in times like these, but the grace of Jesus and the peace provided by the Holy Spirit are more than sufficient. May God give you strength and conform for both today, and all the tomorrows that lie ahead.
